Frequently Asked Questions
Really, Is This Legal?
We get asked this all the time (it’s our #1 question, in fact).
The answer is YES, it really is legal. In all 50 states. Buy with a click, and get our products shipped right to your house, with no fear that you’re breaking any laws (because you aren’t.)
What is The Difference in the Products You Sell and The One That Gets People High?
Hemp (what we sell) and Marijuana (the plant/drug illegal in most states) are two different things. Yes, they look alike. And they are both from the Cannabis family of plant species. But Hemp (aka “Industrial Hemp”) is grown specifically for a variety of uses, such as rope, fabric, and more. And yes, the plant is believed by many to have health benefits.
What is CBD? And While We’re At It, What is THC?
CBD and THC are both compounds found in cannabis plants. However, they are at almost opposite ends of the spectrum. THC is what gets people high, and your classic marijuana plant has high concentrates of it. CBD actually counteracts THC’s high, and is also widely believed to be a pain and inflammation reliever, as well as help with anxiety and a host of other issues (note: these have not been verified by the FDA).
When people talk about the “medicinal” benefits of marijuana, they are almost always talking about CBD as opposed to THC. And yes, Marijuana (the “high” kind) has CBD too.
But Hemp (what we sell) has extremely high concentrations of CBD, and almost no THC. That’s why it’s legal.
Bottom Line – Can Your Products Get People High?
No, our products cannot get you high. There’s simply not enough THC. You could smoke an entire field of Industrial Hemp, and all you’d get is a cough (so don’t do it). That said, many have reported that CBD is relaxing.
What Ailments Can Hemp Help With?
Plenty, but let’s first make the lawyers happy: like many, many other supplements, the FDA has not officially verified any health benefits from hemp. So any statements we make in regards to wellness and ailments are of the “this is what folks are saying” as opposed to official FDA-backed claims.
That said, many people believe and have reported that hemp/CBD has helped with: joint pain, inflammation, sleeplessness, seizers, pain, anxiety, and many other ailments.
The best thing we can tell you here is to try it for yourself. Our founder did, that’s exactly why we’re in business.
What Dosages Are Recommended?
Everybody is different. Our products have a recommended dosage, but many people take less or more, depending on their results. It’s really hard (if not impossible) to overdose on Hemp – it would be like overdosing on Vitamin C.
I Heard The Government is Involved with CBD a Little?
Indeed they are. A patent was filed (U.S. Patent No. 6,630,507) to cover the potential use of non-psychoactive cannabinoids (primarily CBD) to protect the brain from damage or degeneration caused by certain diseases, such as cirrhosis. All signs point to the health benefit claims having merit.
