What is CBD?2020-01-04T14:30:36+00:00

CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is just one of two hundred plus different molecules known as cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. CBD, CBG, CBN and other Cannabinoids have many beneficial properties and commonly used to promote overall wellness.

What is CBD oil?2020-01-04T14:31:11+00:00

CBD oil is a natural oil which is extracted from the flowers and leaves of the cannabis sativa plant. It is used worldwide for a variety of purposes.

What are cannabinoids?2020-01-04T14:31:39+00:00

Cannabinoids are active compounds produced by all cannabis plants. They account for most of the benefits of cannabis. Cannabinoids found in plants are technically called phytocannabinoids, while cannabinoids produced by the human body are called endocannabinoids. Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), which promotes homeostasis.

How does CBD work?2020-01-04T14:32:08+00:00

CBD’s effects are a result of its interaction with the endocannabinoid system. CBD impacts the ECS indirectly, most often through activation of outside receptors and interaction with enzymes.

What is hemp seed oil?2020-01-04T14:32:38+00:00

Hemp seed oil is distinct from CBD oil. While CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant’s flowers, hemp seed oil is produced by pressing the plant’s seeds similar to olive oil. Hemp seed oil has many benefits, but it does NOT contain cannabinoids such as CBD.

What is the difference between CBD and hemp?2020-01-04T14:33:11+00:00

Hemp is a variety of cannabis that is grown for food and fibers. CBD is a molecular compound found in the plant’s extracts. Nature’s Serenity CBD is extracted from a cultivars known as PCR hemp, or phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. These strains are far richer in CBD and other cannabinoids and terpenes than the basic hemp plant used by most CBD producers.

Is your product safe?2020-01-04T14:33:56+00:00

There are no known incidences of illness caused by consumption of CBD oil. Also, all Nature’s Serenity products undergo rigorous testing to guarantee they are free of any pesticides, or any potential contaminants.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?2020-01-04T14:34:29+00:00

Hemp and marijuana are both types of cannabis. Marijuana contains a cannabinoid known as THC, which causes a high and is classified by the Food and Drug Administration as a drug. Hemp contains negligible amounts of THC and is unlikely to cause a high. Nature’s Serenity products undergo processes which removes traces of THC from the final product.

What is CBD used for?2020-01-04T14:34:58+00:00

Many people use CBD to support the body’s natural systems. Cannabinoids are an integral part of the human body’s ability to regulate and balance a wide variety of physiological systems. CBD is also used by some for specific purposes such as supporting a good night’s rest or maintaining well-functioning joints.

Do your products contain THC?2020-01-04T14:36:03+00:00

No. All Nature’s Serenity products show no detectable THC on their lab reports. Wherever possible, we use technology to remove any residual THC found in our hemp extract.

Are there traces of THC in CBD oil?2020-01-04T14:36:40+00:00

Raw, full spectrum hemp extract may contain small traces of THC (less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC – as prescribed by law).

Can I see your lab reports?2020-01-04T14:37:06+00:00

Yes, our lab reports for each batch are printed on our product labels.  You can use the QR Code to view lab reports from the web site of independent labs we use to certify all our products.

Why should I choose CBD over medical cannabis?2020-01-04T14:37:41+00:00

Medical cannabis is another term for medical marijuana. Marijuana contains THC, which is a cannabinoid that causes a high. Medical cannabis can cause severe impairments. CBD is not psychotropic, meaning that it does not cause a high. It can be used while working, driving or undertaking any other physical activities such as exercise and sports.

What does broad spectrum mean?2020-01-04T14:38:27+00:00

The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, Nature’s Serenity broad spectrum oils maintain concentrations of the beneficial compounds that are found in the original hemp plant. Our broad spectrum CBD oil products contain no detectable THC, as shown on our lab reports.

What does full spectrum mean?2020-01-04T14:39:15+00:00

Full spectrum CBD oil is very similar to broad spectrum CBD — the exception is that full spectrum oil usually retains the trace amounts of THC present in the hemp plant. Legally, though, this amount of THC must always be less than 0.3%.

Is broad spectrum CBD oil psychoactive?2020-01-04T14:39:43+00:00

Nature’s Serenity CBD products are made with broad spectrum oils which have had traces of THC removed. Our products are extremely unlikely to cause a high.

Will I feel any effects from using CBD products?2020-01-04T14:40:13+00:00

Some of the effects reported by CBD oil users include improved mood, restful sleep, increased attention and focus and others. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.

Can I overdose on CBD?2020-01-04T14:40:42+00:00

There is no record of anyone ever overdosing on CBD. CBD is completely non-toxic. Also, all of Nature’s Serenity lab reports show that our products have no detectable THC.

What are the benefits of taking broad spectrum CBD products?2020-01-04T14:41:22+00:00

The benefits of broad spectrum products are usually greater than the benefits provided by others, such as those containing just CBD isolate. This is due to what’s known as the entourage effect. The entourage effect occurs when compounds in the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, work together to produce even greater effects than just CBD alone. All Nature’s Serenity products contain broad spectrum CBD oil. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.

What are terpenes?2020-01-04T14:42:03+00:00

Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced in the flower clusters of the cannabis plant. Terpenes are what give cannabis its distinct aromas and have been utilized by humans for millennia in aromatherapy. Terpenes are recognized as safe for human consumption by the Food and Drug Association and are used in a wide variety of food and cosmetic products.

What is a CBD tincture?2020-01-04T14:42:36+00:00

A CBD tincture is a preparation made from CBD extract. It is used orally (swallowed) and can also be used in cooking or baking. Our tinctures do not contain alcohol, although many traditional tinctures do.

Is it possible to take too much CBD?2020-01-04T14:43:03+00:00

CBD is non-toxic. We have never heard of anyone overdosing on CBD. However, extremely large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness.

How much CBD is in your products?2020-01-04T14:43:32+00:00

Nature’s Serenity offers some of the most potent CBD products available. However, the amount of CBD in Nature’s Serenity products varies from product to product. Please refer to the product label for exact concentrations of CBD in each product.

What is the ideal serving size?2020-01-04T14:44:01+00:00

The ideal serving size of CBD for each person depends on a wide range of variables. It also depends on the product. Servings of 25 to 50 milligrams per day are commonly reported for health maintenance and minor issues.

Should I take CBD with food?2020-01-04T14:44:57+00:00

Our edible products are best taken with food, although there are usually no issues when taken on an empty stomach. Taking the products with food may help to minimize any potential side effects.

Are there any negative side effects?2020-01-04T14:45:21+00:00

CBD is not known to have any negative side effects. However, large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness. If your intention is to remain alert, this may be considered an unwanted side effect and therefore large servings should be avoided.

Yes. All Nature’s Serenity products go through a rigorous series of tests by third-party labs to ensure purity and accurate concentrations of cannabinoids. This includes testing to be sure that our products are free of THC and any potential contaminants.

Will CBD get me high?2020-01-04T14:47:01+00:00

No. Unlike marijuana and THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and is extremely unlikely to cause a high.

Will I need a marijuana card or doctor’s prescription to use CBD products?2020-01-04T14:47:26+00:00

No. CBD is not a drug. You will not be required to produce a medical marijuana card in order to purchase CBD online. However, some states have laws allowing doctors to recommend CBD to patients for particular conditions.

Does CBD have a shelf life?2020-01-04T14:47:57+00:00

CBD itself does not have an expiration date. However, CBD oil products can degrade and should be used within a certain period of time. They should be stored in airtight containers either in the refrigerator or in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Please refer to the product expiration dates for more information.

How should I store CBD products? Do I need to refrigerate them?2020-01-04T14:48:30+00:00

We highly recommend either refrigerating CBD products or storing them in a cool place. Always keep CBD products in airtight containers and store them away from direct sunlight and heat, which can degrade certain compounds in CBD oil.

Will CBD oil show up on a drug test?2020-01-04T14:49:06+00:00

Under normal circumstances, our products are not expected to produce a positive result for THC consumption through testing conducted using industry-standard sophisticated testing methods. Nature’s Serenity can not, and does not represent or warrant as to the results that any individual may experience, and advises you to consider the risks of incorrect detection prior to use of this product.  If you would like to see our third-party labs, just use the QR code on each product which will navigate to independent lab test for that specific batch.

Will CBD help me if I’m healthy?2020-01-04T14:49:33+00:00

Because of its ability to help support the body’s effort to maintain homeostasis, CBD is often used by those who don’t have any specific concerns.

Does CBD interact with other medications?2020-01-04T14:49:59+00:00

Much more research needs to be done in this area. If you are taking prescription medications, consult with a qualified medical professional

How long will it take to receive benefits from taking CBD oil?2020-01-04T14:50:25+00:00

In some cases, such as when using a vaporizer or tincture, users often report almost immediate results. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take some time to be detectable — usually half an hour or more. Personal results will vary.

What methods of extraction do you use?2020-01-04T14:51:31+00:00

What is the endocannabinoid system?2020-01-04T14:54:15+00:00

The human endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a system of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors. Neurotransmitters such as endocannabinoids are produced by the central nervous system and interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.

What is the entourage effect?2020-01-04T14:54:47+00:00

Broad spectrum CBD oil, such as that used in Nature’s Serenity products, contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial compounds. Each of the compounds has particular effects on the human body. Because terpenes can affect how the body responds to cannabinoids, the combined effect is often greater than the sum of the individual effects. The overall effect produced is known as the entourage effect. Non-broad or full spectrum products do not have the benefit of the entourage effect and are therefore not recommended.

Is CBD water soluble?2020-01-04T14:55:29+00:00

In its natural state, CBD oil is not water soluble. However, Nature’s Serenity soft-gels are made using a process which encapsulates the CBD oil into nano-sized emulsion particles that are water soluble, allowing the CBD oil to be more easily absorbed.

How do I choose a product that is right for me?2020-01-04T14:56:08+00:00

The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason for which it’s being taken as well as your preference for its format. If using CBD oil for general wellness, tinctures or capsules are recommended. However, gummies might be preferred for their flavor or smokeable flower for their ease of use — it might take a couple of tries to find the perfect product for you.

How does your product differ from others?2020-01-04T14:57:11+00:00

Nature’s Serenity products are specifically developed for high potency and easy absorption. All of our products contain THC-free, broad spectrum CBD oil. We also use a special method to make our CBD soft-gels water soluble, resulting in a higher bioavailability than standard products. This means more of the CBD gets put to use by your body.  Our CBD oil is extracted using a gentle process that does not involve harsh solvents that can degrade beneficial compounds. We use only the finest available ingredients in our products and make sure they’re organic whenever possible.
